They just settled a class action for ripping people off on late fees. If they have your current address, you dont have to do anything. If not, you may need a claim form:

looks to me like you may need to provide them with the information of date and amount of payment. I was sent 3 postcards from blockbuster about a late fee that I owed when I was out after surgery. I tried to return the video but we were snowed in that day ( i was in CT ). I didnt pay it because I was like so pissed that they were stupid enough to close the store due to snow but expect customers to go out in it to return their videos. So they charged my cc the $2.15 charge or whatever it was. It still pissed me off!

they owe me big time, I tells ya
Well, I read the federal court filing that was published in the newspaper (yes, paper!), and there are different gradations: <30$ paid, 30-60$ paid, and 60+ $ paid. Depending on which amount range you are in, you will get more or less freebies. If you still have an aco**** with, them, just make sure they have your current address and sit back and wait. If you do not have an account, but were charged late fees from '92-'98, then you have to use the claim form.

wuts the suit about? is it because they make their customers pay their late fees? Just a month ago, those bastids made me pay my late fees before i was allowed to rent a video.
