    The Transit of Venus

So, it's about to happen and I'm all psyched. My Baker set up a telescope for me too look at it and he even got a sun filter so the light won't burn through my crust.

So what happens if the groundhog sees his shadow during this thing? Something horrific like another 100 years of joan rivers or the kardashians? I mean really, could it get any worse than that?

Boo, the weather here sucked. I was going to take my welding helmet to work with me so I could look out at the sun at ~5pm when this shindig was goin' down. With the crappy weather forecast I didn't bother though.

If any groundhog looks up at the sky today and says "goddamn, I think that's venus passing in front of the sun!", I think it should be crowned emperor.

it was mostly cloudy while I was playing softball, but it started shining through for 5 minute segments here and there. sad i missed it
