Someone please tell me if any of this makes any sense. Or not, I guess I'm just looking to bitch.

So I was hoping to get together with a few friends this weekend. We had tentative plans but nothing solid. Friend #1 who started the whole thing, says 'Meh the weather looks like crap, I'm bailing.' Friend #2, who is unemployed, says 'Hey, I am working on the side tomorrow, but you can come visit and hang around my apartment while I'm at work'.

So me, being a gainfully employed and productive member of society, is offered the divine opportunity to go hang out by myself at my unemployed friend's apartment while she goes to earn some cash under the table. Ah yeah, and it's a 3hr drive away. Just what I want to do with my day.... a 6hr round trip to hang out with her cats. This is the same unemployed friend who keeps promising to visit now that she's unemployed, but has yet to show up.

Meanwhile, friend #3, a devout bleeding-heart Obamacare-loving liberal, is talking about starting a business. But a key part of her business model is that she's not going to hire anyone over 26 because she doesn't want to pay for their healthcare. So now that the topic of conversation has changed from Idealism to Reality, universal healthcare is too expensive and age discrimination is just fine. Hello hypocrisy, thou hast a name!

WTF. People suck.

Now I'd really rather hang out with Friend #1, who is super cool. And super cute, btw. But now her phone is doing this stupid thing, sending texts that are multimedia messages, and all I see is a quote of the last thing I sent to her. So I don't know wtf she's trying to say and she hasn't responded to me saying 'wtf is your phone doing, I can't see anything you're saying'.

So at the moment I'm off work now through Sunday without any plans. It's drizzling out and more rain in the forecast. Sitting alone in my apartment. On the bright side, at least there aren't any fucking cats here.

That's a great idea. I've been meaning to go but I keep putting it off. I'm gonna go burn up a couple boxes of shells in the morning. Thanks!

I've only been shooting twice. Once was with shotguns and the other with handguns. Too scared to own either at home but good to know firearm safety and how good(bad) shot I am. The shotguns was fun but the handguns was sketchy. The staff horsing around first-timers made me uneasy. Kinda put off ever since.

Dammit, the gate was locked and the combination I have didn't work. Apparently they gave me the old combo. There's always been someone there already so I've never had to open it myself. That was a wasted 1hr+ this morning, between getting my gear together and driving over there. Grr...

And that fits right in with the title of this thread. Glad I haven't gone off topic.
