    Cardinals....AGAIN!?!?

What a magical postseason we had last year, the media thought. Those of us that knew that team knew they were capable of more than a 90 win wild card team. The bested Philly, who was better on paper in pitching and hitting. They bested the red hot division winner milwaukee. They beat out the unstoppable rangers for the WS.

Yesterday, I had to miss a ton of the game due to the friggin Yankees stealing the primetime slot. Thanks MLB: Eff you too. Anywho, Jim Joyce's strikezone was unquestionably off the mark. And at the end of the game, it was tilted to Washington's favor. That wrecks any bullpen who rely on those border pitches. Jim Joyce, a mostly amazing umpire, gave that game away.

Tonight, I have to say, I lost hope. I was at a charity fundraiser and heard Waino had a horrible start and we were down 6-0. Early

And once again, they catch lightning in a bottle and wreck expectations, with those last few of us at the fundraiser watching on a low def sat feed.

    I just can't believe what I saw....one year later.

My hats are off to Washington on a great season and a great NLDS. I think they'll be a knockout punch next year, but for now I'm going to enjoy 1 more year of a red october.

I have to admit, it was a great comeback by the Cards. And I agree that the plate ump was calling a wild strike zone. However, I don't agree that it was in the Nat's favor. When they had 2 outs and a 2 (or maybe it was 1 by that time) run lead, the first pitch to the next two batters was clearly in the zone and called a ball. Both batters ended up connecting with two strikes on them. Of course, you can't say what would have happened if those first pitches had been correctly called, but it sure worked in the Card's favor.
