    What would you want?

A friend will be having foot surgery, and she's expected to be in bed on pain meds for a few days, then either house bound or at least on crutches for the next 3ish weeks.

Plans are that friends will be stopping by to keep her company or cook and eat with her. (she has no family here)

So far im thinking load up a hard drive with 1TB of tv shows and music and loan her my WD Live box, maybe take her to the park when its nice out with or without wheelchair. Helping food shop on occasion.

What other good ideas do you have to help?
Am I alone here? Is that it?
Am I the only one who sees.

Maybe we can learn to be just like him.
    Wear a little uniform.
    Yes, sir.
    No, sir.
    Thank you, sir.

i'm sure people stopping by to cook and eat will be more than enough + your "entertainment". she may not be up to doing more than that the first few days after surgery.

just curious....will anyone be doing her laundry? or perhaps doing any errands like picking up any medication for her?

if anyone wanted to get her some *gifts*, perhaps some loungewear like pajama bottoms, t-shirts, cardigan, or fuzzy slippers. if she enjoys reading, perhaps her favorite book (this includes e-book) or magazine.

    hope this helps!

Good thinking on the loungewear, laundry, and meds!

Though it would be a fuzzy slipper singular since its foot surgery.

get her a dick in a box

    (sorry couldn't resist)

loading up a hard drive with TV shows for her to watch is a good one. Find "The Walking Dead" series and load 'em up. She'll get hooked.

puzzles, does anyone do puzzles anymore? a nice little card table that can be pulled up and a 1000 piece puzzle is time consuming.
