I saw it. I gotta say it was quite an adrenaline rush. I am not the biggest fan of the import power, but I love movies that are fast paced with cars, speed, women, more speed, and all that high precision, then some more speeeeed.

I can't believe I am admitting this (because I am a 30ish female), but what the hell. I saw this on Sat. night, my friends wanted to see Tomb Raider and I really did not want to see it. So after about 5 min of Tomb Raider I left and went in to see F&F and met my friends when it was over. It was one of those movies that was so bad it was kind of good. Some of those lines were so tired I can't believe they got the actors to agree to say them.

But,I will watch ANYTHING with Vin Diesel in it! I guess that is how my husband and our friends were feeling about Angelina Jolie...She doesn't do much for me though.

I simply cannot believe what I'm hearing.

I want to cleanse myself of this absolute piece of crap as quickly as possible, so you can see my comments on the front page.

Yeah, it was bad, but it was still fun to watch. It would have been better (read: less grating) if they hadn't bothered trying to include "technical" details, I think. I swore, out loud, that if I heard them say "NOS" one more time, I was going to go postal and shoot everyone in the theater. Oh, and that guy Paul Walker is one horrible actor. Vin Diesel, though, managed to live up to his bad-ass name pretty well. So despite its many, many faults, I thought it was amusing.

To finally see an American film about street racing is truly wonderful. And let me be the one to say[getting up on my soapbox] I am proud to have seen the "Fast and the Furious!" .

Oh, I'll give you amusing. I found myself rolling in the aisles when Diesel tells him "2 years in Lompoc...AND I AIN'T GOIN' BACK!" Whoo, what a doozy of a line! Kevin Spacey and Tim Robbins dream of a script like this! And the hits didn't just stop with Vinny! Paul Walker is Keanu Lite. Vin's love interest was, in a word, heinous. The one saving grace was the female lead.

The kicker: here's how you know it was an absolutely worthless movie: I enjoyed the Pootie Tang, American Pie 2, and Kiss of the Dragon PREVIEWS more than I enjoyed the movie itself. A clear lame-ness label if there ever was one.

Pennypich, I read your review on the front page. SO, does that mean you don't like it??

Seeing as you hate it soooo much, I would have thought that you would have figured it out by all the previews. There had to be what.. 3 or 4 different verions of the previews. Was there ANYTHING in the previews that you didn't like. Obviously you still went to see it, but still.

I was pretty sure it was going to suck, but then again, I thought the Matrix was going to be unwatchable, too.

I even predicted it's suckiness, if you read the Sunday news...

Thank you oh so very very much Pennypinch
My girlfriend wanted to see that movie last night, and I convinced her not too. But then later on in a frenzie of stupid actions I told her I'd take her to watch it today.
But you have saved me that mistake. Now I think I'll take her to watch Tomb Raider, hopefully that'll be better than what the previews make it out to be.

To paraphrase Dr. Spock, the good of the many outweighs the good of the few who had to watch this defiled cellulose and report on it.

Didn't see this peice of crap just because I didn't want to have to look thru all the backwards, upside-down visors to see the screen.

Pennypinch overreacting?? I've never known him to do such a thing!! hehehe . . . in this case though, my guess is he's right . . . There is no way you could get me to pay money to see this movie . . . in fact, I think there is just about no way anyone could get me to watch it for free either.

TO1, is that going to be a KSmith picture too? What is the name of the movie anyways?

saw it on saturday....being an avid vw fan and a relentless hater of riced out cars...i had some trouble with it. but hey, i'm a car enthusiast so i had to see it.

i agree with ice-9, if they mentioned NOS one more time i would have thrown up. but all in all...good car action...and that's why i went.

i must admit..i've always liked supras...and even though the one in the flick was butt ass nasty looking...it fueled my desire to mod the hell out of one. you gotta love a rwd twin turbo car that's easily capable of 750+hp.

ah well..check it out if you like cars and don't mind shelling out 8 bucks for a mindless flick.

naaaah, i'm not into the body kit, super modified look. i want my ride to look stock as possible...maybe a lo-key body kit and wheels. it's what's under the hood that gets me going. why drop a couple grand on exterior mods and a stereo...that's a new intercooler, pal.

i want to be able to roll up next to some dude in a viper...looking like a regular guy in a regular supra (or insert other fine tuned vehicle)...and blow his f***ing doors off.

    that's what gets me going

Hell yes, aglio, I hear that. Although of all the body kits I've seen, that Veilside one looks fairly decent while keeping the massive wing/excessive ground effects/other general rice-boy stupidity pretty under control. But what's up with the pics at the bottom of that supercars page? Those are clearly not the Veilside Supra.

The Supra has always been pretty much the only car in the rice rocket that I have some respect for, although with the WRX and the possible US introduction of the EVO, we'll see...
