Usually, I go through NetworkSolutions for domain regristration because I do it as a consultant so it is billable. The thing is, now I am helping out a friend, and quite frankly, I can not figure out what the deal is with domain registrars. Like joker.com, they offer domain registration with URL forwarding for $10.80/yr. How can they offer that when NS charges $35/yr???? I have not heard anything of this joker.com so I am reluctant to go with them.
Anyway, anyone know of a good and reliable domain regristrar that is pretty cheap?

In October, 1998, the US Government dissolved Network Solutions' monopoly on domain name registration. Now other companys CAN sell you domain names at whatever price they wish. However with a name like Joker.com....

I'm a consultant too. and I use DirectNIC. They are $15 for .com, .net, and .org registrations. Price includes FREE website, unlimited email redirection, pop email (soon), and much more. Check it out.

godaddy.com is $8.95, but no "free" services.

I have heard good things about godaddy.com
registerfly.com is even worse in my opinion than nework solutions. They have given me no tech support what so ever.
Domainmonger.com is very good. $17/year. easy domain managment tools.
