****NOTE: This deal is long gone now...****
Here's one I just picked up. CU has 100pak of 74min CDR for 49.99 - 20 manf rebate. OD has it for 79.99. Do the pricematch and you get it for ~$35. Don't know much about the rebate, but hopefully it's a manufacturer's rebate so you can get another $20 off. So, this is a possible $15 for 100 pak of imations....not bad!

how does that work exactly? the price match thingy
thanks

WhooHooo...i was just runin out of blank media too...
muffdivr, its 155%....basically they take 55% of the difference and subtract it from the lower price...
or something to this affect.

Will they subtract it from the unrebated price or the price after rebate?

I would have to consider myself an expert of the 155% deal with Office Depot. I worked for a year and a half at the local Office Place (The Ontario version of Office Deopt...same company and ****) until the bastards layed me off and closed the store. Cest la vie.
Anyways, to answer your question, its off the other companies price. So if CU is selling it for 49.99 and OD is selling it for 79.99 thats a diff og 30 bucks, and 155% of 30 bucks is 46.50. So, 79.99 - 46.50, dudes should give you the cdrs for 33.49. Not a bad price at all, for 100 cds. They don't include the rebate, wether it be manufacturer or through CU (Or any other competitor) in the discount price...just the straight price diff. So if it is a $20 man. rebate (And it's applicable...watch it sometimes they dont allow it for discounted products...but your saving more in the od price match anyways), like the dude above said, you're getting em for $15 American. Which is what.... about $25 CND. So, you're getting a cd for a quarter.
Not bad at all
You're friendly ex-Office Depot Associate...

Do you need to get the print ad or will the OD dudes call CU for you?
-
Take an ad in so they won't call CU. If they call CU and they are out of stock, they won't accept the deal. When I pricematched to get the Maxtor 20Gb HD for $95, I just showed them the Staples ad, and they gave me the 155% of the difference.. no problems. They didn't even bother calling the closest Staples to see if it was in stock.

Hehehe...went to OD and the price tag had been taken down and a hand-writte one put up "Instant Rebate! - New price $49.99"
LOL
Guess they got burned too bad and changed their price to avoid the match. Anyway went to CUSA and picked one of theirs up. Sweet deal. Now what the hell am I going to do with the 180 CDR's I have sitting around???
-
Snatchface... I'll take them, since you seem to be loathing them so much.

you might want to change that character name in your after-post quote; sp34dfr34k would be speadfreak, and speed does not have an A.
