Thread: Capture card. What's a good one?

    Question

    I don't have a digi cam but I'd like to record demos and stuff on my screen. what is a good card that I could use for this purpose.

    I'm not a millionaire so the cheaper the better as long as I don't lose performance.

    mainly for recording demos of in game/windows to convert to mpeg. is software can do that then please point me in the direction please.

    Get a card from Pinnacle systems. ATI cards are good hardware, but their drivers and the software that it comes with just sucks ass. Hauppauge's aren't that great either in quality with my experiences with them.
