    Question

I have had two systems using PCCHIPS motherboards. I really haven't had any problems with either of them. But I have heard that are really considered junk motherboards. I also discovered that they make the MB's for AMPTRON and LUCKYSTAR??. Does anyone know if these have a bad reputation? Amptron has an M817 motherboard which looks pretty decent to me and it's cheap. I will be using a 1.2 AMD 200FSB and I really don't intend to overclock it.
For a few bucks more, I am looking at a refurb IWILL MB at newegg.com, which could be used to overclock in the future if I really wanted to.

worst rep. Makers of cheap trash. Never again!

Their stuff tends to go in to the cheaps, worst no name OEM brands you can think of, and are basically are hated and despised by the world over.

I know everything I need to know about PCCHIPS and Amptron. I have only seen one LuckyStar and I was not impressed.
Pass on the PCCHIPS and Amptron boards. They use inferior capacitors that start degeading after about a year. As well as low performance (yes, a motherboard makes a HUGE difference in performance), poor quality, and high failure rates. I have had to replace every PCCHIPS and Amptron board I have ever used due to it's failure (I used to just buy components by price).

    Go with the IWILL.

    PCCHIPS BAD
    LuckyStar BAD
    Amptron BAD
    Abit GOOD
    Iwill GOOD
    Asus Very GOOD

So I guess that confirms it. I will go for the name brand motherboards in the future. Thanks!
