    I bought a similar kit from amazon a while back (it was an 8x dvd), and it came with a decoder card. It was manufactored by utobia as well, and had the pioneer slot loading drive. This probably is the same thing.
    it doesn't matter if you make sense, only that you amuse yourself.

    Discs also make excellent gifts for significant others to help remind them that ultimate is the most important thing in your life

    I'm getting the feeling that the reviewer didn't know that you cannot read CD-RW discs without loading something like a DirectCD program.
