I tell you, I am THIS CLOSE to not buying from small online stores anymore. I may pay more at places like Buy.com or Amazon, but at least I get good service from them.
Back in May I ordered a mobo from Softwareandstuff.com and they sent me the wrong one. Skip to the end - last week (after numerous emails and a complaint through Pricewatch) I gave them a 7-day deadline to fix the problem or lose me forever as a customer, and the deadline has past. I can only assume they don't WANT me as a customer.
THEN - last Wednesday I ordered a mobo from ComputerGeeks.com with 2-day air shipping. I just looked at my account page and IT HAS NOT EVEN SHIPPED YET!
I'm sick of the excuses. Stick me with a fork, I'm done. Bastards.
I do a lot of online shopping, and the only problem I've ever had with the big guys is that one time Borders sent me the wrong CD, and that problem was quickly resolved. Now I call THAT good customer service.
