NSS: Softball!

My team clinched it tonight- we'll finish the softball season in first place!

Anyhow, we're in a league with three other teams, with only one team presenting a challenge. Tonight was a big game, and it was close. It came down to the last out, and we ended up winning by 1 run! My coach gave me a big hug cause I made the last play! Nothing like a little bit of pressure to make the play (I play first, the tieing run was in scoring position).

in my ripe old age, i've come to really enjoy softball too. i play for my apartment complex in the spring and fall. it brings back fond memories of protective cups and pulled hamstrings. plus the beer afterward is nice.

what sucks though is when you go to the batting cages and take a try in the medium pitch baseball. christ! i don't know how i used to be able to hit that little thing.

i love my team. we're finally playing like we were before we lost 2 games! last night the score of the game was 38-4. That was after 5 innings, when the slaughter rule came into play.

One more game til the playoffs!
