What kinda pisses me off about Land Rovers is that they're not even very nice SUVs. In England, they're middle of the road and retail for under $40,000 (yes, that's dollars). When they're imported they get jacked to $70,000. Not to mention that Discovery's are big sharp-cornered boxes. I dunno what Mercedes is thinking releasing their G-class. Anyway, that's my late night protectionist rant.

There definitely is a market for the Mercedes G wagon. Mercedes only intends to bring in 1000 units per year unless demand says otherwise. It will be selling for $70k loaded. Previous to this 2002 G wagon, people were paying upwards of $125k for this vehicle thata doesn't even come with a warranty.
