Mobshop now has the RIO300 (same 32MB) at $53.95 after rebate. And if more buyers come in it will be $49.95 after rebate shipped. Rio also has aan extra memory expansion slot. Something to consider...

Holy cow! I spent 53.45 on mp3's to get that nomad II player, As long as I get it will have been worth it, good luck to those interested.

that rio is cool n all but you have to go for that rebate crap. rebates suck! ive spent half of the year already waiting for rebates

i have that rio when it first come out!
(paying big buck)!
but Nomad2 are better in some way, u can have radio! which rio don't have! Also i believe Nomad can record your own voice for personal recorder. Also that 300 i believe use paralle port (slower)

Rebates from Diamond take a long, long time. 3-4 months is about average.

i hate those stupid rebate companies that take forever to send them out. They all say 6-8 or 8-10 weeks...and they always take longer. why don't they just tell the truth?

cause their dumb asses who want our money.

I almost hardly get my money back from rebate companies, so I don't even bother. If the deal isn't good from the start, without rebates, i'll most likely end up passing on it.

The RIO300 feels really cheap to me, I had one for a while and returned it. Those RCA ones feel much more sturdy.

I've owned the RIO 300 for over a year now and use it mainly on the treadmill at the gym and it hasn't let me down yet. I did however, take advantage of the Nomad II deal. It seems to be a better product and it does have a FM tuner which the RIO doesn't.
