I was wondering if anyone could tell me why when I plug my Asus v7700 geforce 2 gts card into my asus a7m266 motherboard with a 1.4 ghz amd processor I can not display anything on my monitor but when I use my geforce 256 everything displays fine. Also my new asus video card is not broken seeing how it works fine on my P3 533 MHZ comp.

The only thing in my AMD comp so far was the video card and a 13 gig IBM HD. Also I'm using an Antec case with their 300 w power supply. Any help is appreciated.

Did you remove all the drivers from the previous card.
    Right click on my computer
select device and find the video card and right click and remove. shut it off then install the NEW card.

have AGP disable in the bios.........
if that does not work...remove all the expansion card except the video.
If it does not boot up by then.......... your SOL.

Could be not enough juice from your power supply.
Is you AMD overclocked? Or is the FSB to high for the card to handle.

    Don't give up hope
The v7700 (the card i use too) requires extra voltage
I suggest you up your VIO voltage up to at least 3.6v This should help... if not then you do have a screwed card

kinda funny...you'd think that since it's an asus mb & asus vid card, they'd be good with each other...heh

The GART driver is your motherbords AGP connection...
If it works, donīt fix it!
