You might have some trouble with this...
The $14.99 is a misprint which might be fixed by the time the ads come out, this topic has been going on over at FatWallet ---> Max Payne for $15?
It says CC sent out a notice to many retailers warning them that this is a misprint and not to PM. But if you want to try, hopefully you'll get that price soon. Just letting you guys know that it's not sure-fire.
Some CCs are indeed selling MP for $14.99 (no muss, no fuss). YMMV, as with all deals
Is this a good game? Never heard of it. But I got the ad for the $14.99, so if it's good I might try to price-match or go to my CC store.
Its a great game. Pick Dark Fury up a copy too while your at it.![]()
The circuit city in Atlanta still had the fliers for $14.99 but of course there were none on the shelf. Not even a price label. So I took the flier across the street to Target which had Max Payne on *Sale* for $49.99. At first the lady refused to PM it because of the big difference in price which made her think they were 2 different items. But after showing her that the UPC # in the flier matched that on the game box she had to give it to me. So I got it for $14.99 at Target which also came with a free mousepad. Not bad!

I went to 2 different CC's yesterday and of course they were out of Max Payne (doesn't it seem like CC carries 2 or 3 of whatever is on sale that week?). Anyway, when I went to look at the bulletin board at the entrance where they put up that week's ads there was no price correction or errata posting for Max Payne at either one of the stores and the sales dude (he was a dude, not a salesman) made no mention of a price correction or misprint so what cougarls88 said is true.
Unfortunately CC doesn't give rainchecks for software (or so I've been told). The sales dude just told me to check back on Tuesday morning because if they get some more they usually come on Tuesdays mornings. I haven't had time to PM at another store.

My circuit city in glendale, ca had none on the shelf, of course. Asking for them to check stock took too long, so I left. No mention of misprints, and the tag was on the shelf showing where they were supposed to be.
Pricematched at Best Buy, no problem (but a long line, of course).

Wal-Mart does pricematching, and I went into the store with the CC ad but unfortunately Max Payne was gone from the shelf. I wonder if AMEX will accept the print ad for pricematching -- just buy it at Amazon.com and then pricematch it to $14.99
Price matched it at CompUSA on SATURDAY, the day before the ad. The salesman was puzzled at how they could sell it so low, but figured a price match is a price match. Had I known it was a typo, i would have got a dozen of them.
...Or were you looking at the woman in the red dress?
For some reason or another most of the CCs here in Houston, TX (namely all of them) don't think it's a typo. They even have the price of $15 listed on the shelf.
Needless to say, they're all gone. Going to try to pricematch at BB or order one at CC. Can anyone tell me how to pricematch at BB?
Got Walmart to pricematch it...simply printed out the first page with the ad dates on it and page 18 with the ad on it ...front and back same page....took it in and they were more then happy to price match...
Went back to CC yesterday and still out of stock AND noticed a sign that said that $14.99 indeed was an incorrect price. It wasn't there Sunday evening.
Question: Did anyone actually buy Max Payne at a CC? And if you did, did they have to manually enter the $14.99 in the computer?
I suspect that the $14.99 was not a misprint. If it was a misprint it would not be in their computer system as $14.99. Would it? It was probably a bigger screw up than just a simple misprint.
I would have pricematched at a BB but the ones in my area always call to check to see if the original place has stock and won't honor the pricematch if they are out of stock.
Can one of you lucky bastards that bought it for $14.99 sell me the game after you're done with it? I'm willing to pay $5![]()
I'll sell you mine, for 15 bucks. plus shipping(3 bucks)

this is a must get game. the graphics are very nice especially the fires. story line is not so bad. what I am very impress is the matrix move which is called gun combo, where u can slow everything down while u aim and fireoff while watching the bullets fly pass you. oh yea.. it's not one of those short games like hl blue shift. too bad it's a one player game....
Got mine at BB with no problems. i just brought it up to the register with the CC add and the cashier just punched in PM w/ competitor and marked it down to 14.99. As far as gameplay goes, ive been told its about 12 hours worth and not much replay value.
Where can I get the ad that says it is for 14.99?? I want to try the game, but I can't find the ad (even though it is a few weeks old.) Can anyone send me their ad??

The game is great, though there isnt much replay value and it is short. but wow, its awesome when you first play. for 15 you can't go wrong. To get the ad, just walk into a cc store. That's where I got mine.
Not sure how replay would work with the slo mo and all, so I think single player only is just a consequence of the gameplay mechanics.

Oops, the ad is old, I still have a sunday paper that's unopened. Email me your address, and if I have it I'll mail it to you, assuming its for a pricematch. If its just to pin on your wall, sorry.
OMG didn't see the reply.
Megaman369 I'd buy it for $15+3 if you still have. email me.
Anyone else have one they wanna sell? My email is [email protected]
I work at circuit city but was still stupid enough to miss this...
Never trust a monkey
PZYCHO... hehehe I thought the reason I couldn't find any on the first day of the sale was b/c the employees snagged or hid them somewhere for themselves.
