What did you guys think of the red faction demo? personally i was disappointed in it, i didnt like how you interacted with enemies, i wish they had SOF style fighting (diff. body parts react to bullets) the know its a demo but the animations are pretty weak and on my geforce 3 and p4 with everything turned on, 4 x aa, the game doesnt look "that" great, any comments on the game?

I didn't play the demo. I saw the movie for it though. I agree, the game looks a bit weak. It seems like just another stupid FPS game. I didn't see anything that would make it stand out, especially not the graphics, they're a bit mediocre.

the only thing that makes it stand out is the "geomod". When you fire a rocket, detonate a remote mine, the game doesnt just apply a decal to the surface, it actually "digs" into or removes part of the surface. In the demo, you can dig tunnels through the walls with the rocket laucher. I wish games like HL / CS / etc... would use this mod. It would be SOOO much more realistic.

i agree with all of you guys, i haven't played the demo but i've played it for ps2.

the game is NOTHING without geomod. geomod is the only thing that makes it more intresting then just playing through halflife again.
