Thread: Angelfire Nameserver(s)?

  1. #1
I'm trying to get a domain at godaddy for 9 bucks a month so it can forward to my angelfire page, but during registration I run into a problem. The form asks me for "name server." I've looked pretty hard to try to find the info but didn't come up with anything. Help please?

    I found this.
A priest, a paladin and Varimathras walk into a bar...

Hmm, I'm a little confused. Angelfire says you don't need the nameserver info, but GoDaddy won't let me proceed through the registration without that.

Go to http://www.yournamefree.com (not sure if they have a referral program, but if so, mention me)

It is $30/YEAR and they do it all for you. Also, you get custom emails (i.e. [email protected] and [email protected] can go to different emails)

The $30 includes both hosting AND a year of registration.

I have used them for over a year and have never had a problem.

Sounds nice, but the thing is, I just want the domain cuz angelfire gives 50mb of space. And I'm cheap and poor

You get it all for the same price.

They don't host your SITE at YourNameFree, only your nameservers and redirects (for web and email)

    You point it to Angelfire

Oh whoops, I meant that godaddy has the domain hosting for $9 a YEAR. Silly me

Back to the nameserver thing, I did a whois search and came up with this...

    Code:
    DNS-X.WHOWHERE.COM209.185.123.7
    DNS-C.WHOWHERE.COM209.185.123.64
^--- is that what I'm looking for?

What is that whois info from?

Is that Angelfire itself? Those do appear to be DNS entries.

I will bet you that it won't work.

The nameserver has to be programmed to deal with your domain.

Angelfire isn't so it will just fail.
