Seattle pitcher Arthur Rhodes' glittering earrings almost started a brawl on August 25th. In a bizarre ninth inning, Rhodes was ejected by third-base umpire Tim McClelland. Rhodes, who had not yet thrown a pitch, started yelling at Cleveland Indians shortstop Omar Vizquel, who asked Rhodes to remove his earrings because of the glare. Players from both benches came onto the field and Rhodes had to be restrained from going after Vizquel by manager Lou Piniella.
So dis is a case in which da ice was too much for da sich-ee-ation. Too much bling bling from tha brotha.
