    Question IBM 8225-002 12-port Hub

Hi all, I have an IBM 8225 12-port managed hub. The retail value on this puppy is close to 3500$ brand new. Mine is factury refurbished, never been used since. How much do you think I can ask for it (and still get it sold). If interested, here's the link:

Sorry, but not a lot. There's a reason that IBM doesn't sell networking equipment anymore. Plus, with the price point between hubs and switches all but gone, there's barely any market for hubs anymore.

I believe that the 8225 is a 100Mb only, not a 10/100 - this brings the value down a little bit more. The fact that it's a managed hub helps, if you find someone with a large LAN.

I would say that if someone offers you $100 for it, jump on it. The falling price of networking equipment pretty much killed any market for this guy - you can get a 16 port 10/100 switch for about $150 nowadays.

100$???? I knew hubs had dropped in price but 3000 down to 100 is riduculous! I guess the fact that it's managed doesn't make much of a difference then...

    anyways, thx for the info
