I think they make their money on all the label tapes! Kind of like how they nearly give away printers and then charge a lot for cartridges. Label tapes run at least $20 each:

I think so too. I got that dymo labelmanager and the tapes are really high. After buying a few sets of the dymo cartridges you'd pay more than you paid for the labeler (If you didn't get the rebate ).
