I have to agree.....the Peugeot 405 vs. the M5...that was just too much fun to watch..
If ever have the chance, listen to how they produced that scene.
Let's say it involves the cars being towed by Mercedes S600s and filming out of the back of the trunk of the S600 @ speed.

The chase scene in "Bullet" (in case you don't know, it was a late '60's movie with Steve McQueen).
stay low... keep moving...
um... it was a Bond movie starring Roger Moore. Cant remember which one. It was where the (i think it was a Studebaker, but I think i'm dead wrong) car jumps over the lake. That was cool.
how bout this summer's blockbuster car movie??? (it was so great, I can't even remember the name)
gone in 60 seconds wasn't tooo bad...
with Ronin, the only reason why that car chase scene was so good, was because the rest of the movie sucked..(well, the car chase scene was good, but still, my point is that the movie sucks..)
Was "The Bullet" a good movie? I'd never heard of it before...till recently...the Vice President of Direct Marketing at my work just bought a new mustang...he said it was the Bullet version...I felt stupid, cuz I'd never heard of it.

It was great. However, the chase scene can only be really appreciated on a big (i.e., theater) screen. The cars were jumping over hills in San Francisco, and the entire screen would be "bumping". There was another scene where a car skidding around a corner actually bumped (by accident) a parked car that had a camera mounted on it - they cut that sequence just right so you "felt" the bump. The great thing about McQueen movies is that everything is done for real - no phony effects like you would get in a Bond movie.Originally posted by Thunder

The Batmobile springs to mind. It has too many cool tricks and moves. I like when it deployed armor and then dropped a bomb.
Also the professors car in "The Great Race" with Tony Curtis.

TBG - definitely not being a jerk. I wasn't sure if it was spelled with e or i when I made the first post, and I didn't feel like running over to do a search. Thanks for the correction.Originally posted by TheBluGuy

I don't know if you're counting 'net films, but the BMW stuff usually rules.

Mad Max had some destructive and quite well coreographed car chase scenes.
The chase scene in Bullit is great but I think the car scene in the French Connection is even better. If you notice Bullit theres no one on the strrets because they had them cleared for safety reasons. In the French Connection the chase takes place in New York with regular ole folks, not extras, on the sidewalks and in the shops etc.
Go speedracer, go speedracer, go speedracer gooooo!

the peacemaker had a pretty sweet car chase in it. come to think of it, that was the only good thing in it.

Anyone remember Bad Boys? That last car scene with the cobra and 911 turbo was pretty cool.
