blueberry muffin, I can't begin to tell you how awesome you are!
I use DC at least thrice a week.
One question people. Is the USPS down? I mean the actual service. Since Bush has ordered that no planes lift off, does that mean that packages being delivered will be delayed? Or does it have no affect on the Post office at all.

I heard a report yesteday that said mail would be delivered only within a 600 mile radius of the originating post office. At least until air-traffic resumes as normal.Originally posted by calng

I just tried it. The guy behind the counter didn't know a thing about it and charged me 40 cents. He said he would check the web site later.Originally posted by phredd
Has anyone tried this? Did someone actually get free Delivery Confirmation when you tried to send your package??

I got the scoop from the counter guy at my local post office: If you use this label on a package, and the person behind the counter doesn't know what to do, tell them they don't need to scan the bar code or anything. All of that was taken care of when you entered the address on the web site. They pretty much just need to ignore it.
The postal carrier that delivers the package will scan it when delivered and the delivery date and time will be available on the USPS web site.

I keep getting a 500 Internal server error.
Is anyone else not able to load the page? It's been working up to now.
Yeah, me too... if you click into the page from usps.com it will say its temporarly down.. (thats all the info it gives![]()
