and some things to remember about the people that are celebrating in the streets over these attacks:
they live in places where the govt controls the media - they may believe that americans eat babies and plot the destruction of their country. (they may not even know what really happened, or they may believe that it was a direct retaliation for some atrocity committed by america.)
those living in this country, like the people celebrating in detroit... not real cool, but who knows what they believe about america? they hear stuff from the media in their home country, they hear something totally different from the american media, they don't know what to believe. and again, that is just a very small number of people.
it is not unknown for totalitarian governments to bribe or threaten people into "celebrating" to look good for the camera. and a day off of work is a day off of work.
hating a "group" who hates your "group" doesn't improve the world. hate the people who committed the crime, hate the ignorance that caused them to hate you, hate certain things about a culture, but don't hate a whole ethnicity, country or religion full of individuals. (or if you do, just keep your mouth shut about it and don't try to justify your hatred - you aren't going to change any minds anyway.)
