" Enough with your mindless prattle. Get on with what you do best, report the Hardware news. We're inundated with this stuff 24/7 and I don't go to "Got Apex?" to hear more. I know you mean well, but you're not That good of a writer. I want deals and hardware news. SlashDot you are not, but I usually gleam some good info from your site at least once a week. You are in my 3 daily "Must read" sites along with "BluesNews" and "SlashDot". If you want to rant off topic ,do it in the forums, like all of us have to. God forbid we put something that doesn't belong into one of the forum sites. We are quickly modded down and told to "Post it in the appropriate Forum". Live by what you preach, and don't be a hypocrite, there's enough of those in this country already. My 2 cents.

I like the news and reviews at GA as much as the next guy, but what keeps me coming back to GA is the feeling of community and family. The people and members of Got|Apex? are a close-knit group. Like all families we have our quarrels, but we come together when the chips are down. When one member expresses pain or grief over something, we all rally to support them.

LPM was expressing his pain among friends, and I applaud him for it. That someone would tell him "Enough with your mindless prattle" is nothing but cruel.

LPM, way to go! Keep it up buddy, we're all with you.

Now how a person who doesn't know the difference between "you're" and "your" in the grammar context is supposed to judge if we're good at something or not, is beyond me. In any case though, it just surprises me that some people would do anything to make a total stranger feel bad. To be honest, I don't feel bad, or feel that we here at 3DGPU were out of place posting these news. I've received numerous emails from a lot of people thanking us for taking the time to post the information. Around 40% of our visitors are foreigners, and some of these people are still quite new to the English language. A few people expressed that they cannot understand a lot of what CNN.com or ABCNews.com were saying, due to the journalists there using big words or words they don't know yet. Here at 3DGPU, they're used to my style of writing, and can understand what I'm trying to get across.

Another thing, all of us here at 3DGPU are Americans - me, Brian, Jack, and Dan. We were born and raised here, and this is our country. What happened in New York, Washington, and the farm near Pittsburgh, affects ALL of us. It may very well change our very lives, it may mess up our economy, and not to mention it's personal to some of us. There a lot of people who died there in New York, and I have a few friends and relatives there. This is our way of dealing with it, acquiring information, and passing it on to those who either missed the news item, or wishes to know how we feel about the incident.

So with that out of the way, if you feel the news is somehow offensive to you, or you're tired of it, then quite simply, don't read it. No one is forcing you to read something you're not interested in. The headlines are there to summarize what the post is about for a reason. Finally, those who take the time to thank us, we sincerely appreciate it. It does lift our spirits and make us feel good -- to know we're part of this global community, gamers or otherwise. Those who write in, trying to make us feel bad and being negative towards what we post, or the incidents that has happened last Tuesday, will further be ignored."

Seriously, I believe that last week you demonstrated the best writing you have done in your entire tenure here at GA. I for one appreciate the work you do and know that everything you posted came right from the heart.

Just because one ******* (I know he's not a dickhead 'cause he never comes to the meetings) can't deal with the fact that something terrible has happend is no reason to change in any way. He is lashing out at you because he has no target for his anger and doesn't know how to control it.

When I read what you had to say it helped me deal with the pain caused by all this. GA has been my main source of information about this whole thing. I don't watch much TV and only listen to the radio in the car. I can't stand how dumbed down the newspapers are.

So this is what I have to say about your coverage LMP.

Thank you for providing accurate information in a timely manner.
Thank you for dispelling rumors as soon as you were aware of them.
Thank you for giving me a place to discuss my feelings about this.
Thank you for helping me deal with my pain by letting me know I was not alone in my feelings.
