Thanks Passwird, I got in on this deal and now two year updates.

this is an old version though.

Isn't that what the updates are for? I dunno, I never used this stuff before.Originally posted by bugaboo

The updates are just for the virus's The program itself gets upgraded also=)

the 4.51 engine will work just fine (provided you update the virus definitions regularly).. and the price is right if one is 'low flow.'
Can someone forward the program to me? I get Error 403.6: IP Address rejected.
Anyone else getting the rejected message??
Thanks in advance!
I used to work for a University in Ohio and we did online downloads for programs such as McAfee. Unless the first two sets of numbers in your IP address match those of Long Beach State (ie: ###.###.123.123), you are not going to be able to download the program. The other way that they might have it setup is using a list of forbidden IP address, of which your ISP could be one.
Also, I like free things as much as the next guy, but downloading directly from a school's website when you are not affiliated with them is a bit much, don't you think? Just my 2 cents...
The license period is for two years from March 29, 2000 to March 28, 2002. Dang Ends in a few months...

The license period is just a license for the college to distribute it to users of the college. Since you most likely have nothing to do with the college (and thus downloaded it when you're not supposed to, which is pretty much illegal, but what do you care right? You were able to download it, and it didn't say you couldn't...) you don't have to worry about the license period.. just set it to autoupgrade from McAfee's website. You'll get the dat upgrades, just not the engine ones...
btw, where is it set to autoupgrade from right now?
