Best NFL Game this Weekend (both gamewise and line wise)

Well, my favorite game to watch will be the (2-0) Bengals at (2-0) San Diego, but here are my money picks:

And, the Jericho LOCKS of the week are:

    New Orleans (+3) at NYG
The Saints, who have one of the most underrated offensive units in the NFL, are coming off a bye week. The Giants emotion, although at home, should be down from last week at Arrowhead. Therefore, I am going to go with New Orleans, on the legs of Ricky Williams.

    Seahawks (+10.5) at Oakland
The Seahawks always play Oakland close, and this week will be no exception. The Raiders offense sputtered in the second half last week and Charlie Garner was not utilized very much. There has been no reason to give as to why after such a stellar 1st half. I look for this to be a close game, possibly at 17-13 affair

well, you gotta love the bengals vs the chargers...i think this one goes to the chargers all the way...but...

my pick for best game of the week is baltimore vs. denver. this will probably be balt's biggest challenge as a defense...i like denver winning by a touchdown...but it'll be a low scoring affair.

I think the Saints are a riskier pick than they might seem. Sure, they've got nice talent, and are healthy, but remember they haven't played in 21 days.

Minny-TB could be interesting. TB also hasn't played in three weeks. Rust? Meanwhile, how do Randy, Cris, and Duante respond to an 0-2 start?

Best game bar none will be the Chargers and Bengals. A lot of emotion riding with both teams, and the Bengals defense looked positively inspired against a decent Ravens team last week. Takeo Spikes might be even better than Madden 2001 Takeo Spikes. Sure, their corners suck mightily, but they always have Dillon! It'll be interesting to see how the Bengals pass rush deals with Flutie.

I think I'm going to pick the Chargers, but it'll be a back-and-forth affair.

    Linewise:

    Indy -11.5 at New England

The Colts have Manning, Harrison, and James (and Pathon actually) firing on all cylinders, scoring 87(!) points in their first two games. Their defense, while not great, is decent, though it won't matter against a sputtering offense minus its only weapon. Tom Brady will be making his first career start against the Colts and it's likely he'll spend most of the day handing the ball off to any one of four running backs which have combined for 148 yards on 41 carries so far. This should be the blowout of the week and the Colts should have no trouble covering the spread.

    Denver -4.5 vs. Baltimore

The Ravens are coming off a humiliating defeat to the Bungles, one in which they committed 6 turnovers. They made the Cinncinati D look like...well, like the Ravens' D should have been. Their offense, this season sans Jamal Lewis, has completely discarded the run and is now relying completely on Elvis Grbac. He was 33-63 for 326 yards with 3 INT's and a fumble against the Bengals (and yes, 300 yards is generally good, but 63 attempts makes for one sad yards/attempt average). The Bronco D is considerably better than either of the teams the Ravens have faced so far (Bears & Bengals) and they should be able to capitalize on this. The Bronco offense, though without Terrell Davis & Ed McAffrey, hasn't missed a beat. Mike Anderson and Olandis Gary are more than capable of picking up Davis' slack and Rod Smith was nothing less than spectacular against the Cardinals last week, hauling in a team record 14 passes for 162 yards and 2 TD's, even though the Cards D keyed on him in the absence of McAffrey. Take the Broncos to cover at home with ease.

    Those are my
    Shoe-ins of the Week

    Gamewise:

The one I'm looking forward to is the Rams and Dolphins. I love those great offense vs great defense matchups. This one could be a Superbowl preview. The Dolphins secondary should be able to handle Warner & his crew of receivers, but I'm curious to see if Zach Thomas & Co. will be able to contain Marshall. Plus, I want to see if Jay Fiedler's start is a sign of his true talent or if it's just a fluke.
