another song lyrics thread (but this one is different...)

okay, so most lyrics are really stupid, but some are good, and some are so good that they just set up permanent camp in your brain. they are exploding with meaning, or coolness, or... [insert superlative]

i'm thinking not of whole songs or lengthy verses, but of a line or two that is just particularly clever or meaningful or beautiful, or for whatever reason just stick in your head and pop up repeatedly.

some of my favorites:
