    yay!!!

    found a babysitter, so i'm goin out tonight... babysitters are a lot of work! i have to vacuum, do the dishes, write up a phone list/ emergency instructions/ how to work the vcr/tv/stereo/computer thingy... set up a dinner plate for easy micrrowaving... chop up grapes for snacking... make sure all the blue's clues tapes are rewound for easy pacification... have pajamas laid out... bathe evilgremlin and attempt to wear him out so he doesn't scare off the nice young lady on the first night... go get cash to pay her...

    but the upside is i get to go out til two am and act like an idiot!

    heh... she's gorgeous, intelligent, 20 years old... feel free to stop by! although you may have some competition, evilgremlin was mooning at her non-stop when she came by to meet him...

    this is the first non-family babysitting event, so we'll see if i get a call at the bar... "uh? ms. loser? could you come to the phone? there's a woman on the phone for you and i can't quite understand what she's saying because she can't stop screaming... there's some maniacal laughter in the background, possibly a chimp?"

    we'll see.

    oh, and i think it was evilcyclops or rev evil that suggested the name evilgremlin ... no paternity implied, tho.

    Dayum, where were you when I was babysitting???

    It would be like "Put the kids to bed at 11:30pm, we'll be home at 12:00. Straighten up when you can, do the dishes in the sink, and there is a new barbeque in the back. Assemble it sometime today. The recipie for dinner is on the counter." And so on like that. The kids were absolute terrors 4 and 6 years old. I got paid one dollar an hour for two of them (4 bucks was the going rate). For some reason those people had a hard time finding sitters. Oh, the father was a pilot making $120,000 and the mother was an executive, making probably more.

    I suggested that lil'gremlin qualified for the high honor of being evilgremlin. Welfare, reserve his G|A username now!

    jeez, evilcyclops, you got JACKED. i pay $6.50 an hour. i don't know what the going rate is, probly less, but this oughtta keep em coming back for more.

    and yes, he does have a hobbes. he has 4, actually - this set of classic pooh beanie babies, he always has one hanging out of his mouth by the arm. when he wakes up in the morning and i walk into his room, he is often talking to them. once i caught him throwing them out of his crib so he could duck behind his crib bumper, then jump out and scream at them, then duck again, laughing his butt off. so they are obviously plotting some pinky-and-the-brain style stuff...

    and i actually stayed out until 4:30 acting like an idiot. things just got wierder and wierder and i am actually mildly surprised that i am sitting here, awake, alive, and with nothing new on my rapsheet.
