    Best Optical Mouse?

I need an optical mouse? What's the best one for gaming? Any good deals out there on good mice for a cheap price?

Compgeeks.com has a 2 button with scroll optical mouse for $9.95. I'm not sure how high of quality it is, but I don't think that you can beat the price. Anyone got one of these? I'm thinking of getting one myself, I just wanted to know if anyone has any experience with them.

yup i own both the mouseman wheel opt and wheel mouse opt, love them both.

i like the wheel mouse because its smaller and more comfortable to use, and it looks so damn slick.

    priced reasonably well also

I have been using the Microsoft version since it was first released and I personally think it is a very good mouse.

Although I have used the Logitech also and I agree that it is equally impressive.
    The battle is just beginning...

If you're switching from ball mouse to optical the'yre ALL going to be impressive. Personally, I like the Microsoft Optical mouse because it just looks sleek. I don't like how Logitech has their ugly logo tagged onto their mouse. That's just my opinion. Both Logitech and Microsoft have optical mice for about ~$25. This was the price at Best Buy so I'm sure you can find a better price on the net, but you'd have to pay shipping. The microsoft mice seem like a better product to me but it's really up to you

One review I read a while back said that the battery life in the Logitech was MUCH better than the Microsoft.

I have the Microsoft Explorer and I love it. It's expensive, but it's worth it if you use your computer as much as I do. I haven't used the Logitech so I can't really comment on that.

I don't think this'll stop anything though - the better you idiot-proof a system, the more impressive the idiot becomes.

i only have real world expericance with the microsoft optical mice but i've heard the logitech are slightly better.

but if you really wanna know the truth, optical mice arent that great for gaming, the only reason i use one is because i can't stand cleaning my mouse every two seconds.

I thought both MS and Logitech are using the same 2nd gen. optical technology?
