    AIM is down

    its 5:20 pacific time, and AIM is nt working for me
    is it working for other ppl?

    well, if u sign off and back on, they wont be able to find ur buddylist,
    but if u stay on the whole time, nothing seems to be affected...

    It says my buddy list is not available, but they didn't lose it. Yeah, right. They better find it, bastards.

    buddy lists are stored locally - how can it "loose" them?

    No, buddy lists are stored server side now. Sometimes they "lose" the server which has them and that causes problem. I've never had them actually have the buddy list completely lost. Always a good idea to back it up just in case.

    There is an option to save your list. Look under the My AIM menu.

    Crap I thought I was the only one with no AIM service today. Bah, I signed on and realized that my buddy list sez 0/0... I then preceded to load a saved buddy list resulting in an error message which required me to close AIM. Zreo0, I'm blaming you for all of this. Mostly because you first brought up the subject and that your hair burns when they are brought close to an open flame.
