    How was your day?

Mine could have been better to say the least. Please bare with me while I vent.
Ok first off I get up later than I wanted and didn't get anything done this morning as usual. Then I have to go sit in statistics class and listen to my new teacher prattle on and on (my old teacher who was very nice got fired. Really ticked me off).
So anyway, then I am under the impression that I have to go to this marsh for a biology field trip (yes, a marsh. How fun). I get there and no one is there. He had changed the plans AGAIN in the lecture class and I am only in the lab so I didn't know about it. So I drive to my class, but by that time I arrive I am really late so I just say screw it, I am tired and hungry and I go home. I fiddle around at home for a while, then I call dominoes to get some buffalo wings and cinnastix and when I arrive to pick it up, about 20 min later, they say it is going to be another 20 min and I have to get to work.
When I get to work my boss isn't there as usual and I am stuck and can't get my food. Then the girl who was covering for my boss
says she thinks a guy was cheating (I work in my school's testing center) and asks me what she should do. I tell her she has to report it to the instructor since she witnessed it and I wasn't there yet. But I will probably be held responsible like I am for everything else. THEN there is this snotty note from boss about how I need to be more focused on my duties, blah blah blah which is total bulls*** she is the one who is hardly ever there and when she is she just sits on the phone. THEN I call dominoes and tell them to deliver my food, it takes an hour and a half then the delivery guy is pissed because he went to the wrong building (but I told them the building and room number). So yea. I didn't feel like explaining though so I just paid him and he left. I gave him a $2 tip cause I am nice now I kinda regret it cause he was kind of a snot. You know those people who aren't outwardly nasty, they are condecending and snotty instead. I know a lot of people like that. Oh and then my brother's ex friend who screwed him out of $300 comes in to the test center and I am forced to be nice, haha. Not to mention the fact that I continue to hate this area and everything about it. I am moving back to California in January now I think. Screw this job and this town.
    Sigh. Ok I am done.

Better than yours. I hope tomorrow is nicer for you.

I took an exam yesterday morning and within 4 hours all of us got an e-mail from the professor saying that since we all did so poorly on the exam he will give us 40 points extra credit if we can do the last problem on the exam as a take home. I get to pick up the exam tomorrow morning which should be a great way to begin Friday. Now I plan to sit quietly with this stupid problem, numerous beers, and the Md game on ESPN. My life really couldn't be more empty.
I forgot to say that I hope your day picks up.

My day was just fine. I live in California.
If you are leaving soon you should file a grievance against your boss. You are doing well and she is harassing you. You do your job.
Your biology teacher placed you in a situation where you could have been harmed through his negligence (a woman out in the middle of nowhere in a swamp, what if some nut had been out there). You should file t grievance on him too. Speak to him about it first. It was negligent not to contact you or to at least have someone make an attempt.
Call the pizza place. Tell them that if they keep sending incompetant snots out to deliver your pizza, you will find someone else to order from.
$300?!? Think obstructionist Buerocrat. Give wrong information and ask for non-existant forms. Lose anything he gives you that you did not sign for.
If you are sure that you are leaving in January, give notice now!!! They can't touch you if you have already quit. It is retalitory for your quitting. Then you can sue them for the lost wages. Verify this from your local labor board first. It could be different where you now live.

i dunno, if i was a pizza delivery guy, i think i'd have enough shame not to be snotty. just cause your ass didn't know how to follow directions, i don't think you should take it out on the reciever of the delivery. i remember when the guys that were delivering my tv called to find directions cause i live out in the boonies. they called me when i was in class so i couldn't answer. he leaves some stupid messages like..."does answering machines have answers?" and hangs up...in a real *******-ish tone too. so i was like, i want me tv, so i called his @ss back to let him know how to get to my house.

oh and today...well, i woke up late, i got late to my buddies house (we decided to commute today so i didn't have to do a super long drive), but we got to school on time. i was supposed to stop by my lab to put some concoction we made on tues into a fridge, but the doors were locked, so i waited for a couples mins to see if a TA would swing by, but no. so i said f*** it and took off. right now, i'm on G|A waiting until the plans are finalized for tonight, another friend is turning 21, so we're goin out...of course.

either way, it's only late after noon....there's a lot more a day that can mess up. hope things get better.

Chemical Engineering. I am trying to calculate the number fractions of polymers present in a polymerization reaction between monofunctional and bifunctional monomers. It is kinda complicated to explain over e-mail. Anyone in Hyattsville is welcome to come watch the angry grad student drink and do engineering problems.

Sounds like the kind of thing that gets easier the more beer you drink, but conversely your grade goes down with you sobriety.

It is free admission and all the cheap vodka you care to drink, but there will not be any half nekkid women. Just my roommates and a dog. I have almost answered the first part of the question. Sadly the beer will be running out soon. I have a feeling when I wake up tomorrow the answers will not seem nearly as coherent. Oh well. That is why it is extra credit.

Well, when I got home and looked at the mail, there was a letter from my credit card company's security division asking me to call them. I'm not that surprised because they are pretty careful about checking up if anything looks remotely suspicious. I call and the customer service agent starts asking me about some charges. Some MAJOR charges. Like a couple of $1300 charges, plus several other $100's. Nope. Not mine. Somebody's hacked my cc account. So it's closed, and now I get to wait until the send me a new card AND I get to go through all of my next bill and decide what isn't mine. Big fun.

No, it was a Visa account. I think it has about a $13,000 credit limit.

I think almost all cc's handle this the same. Although they can technically hold you liable for the first $50 of unauthorized charges, none of them do because they don't want to lose business. They have you fill out some sort of affidavite concerning the charges you say aren't yours (which can also help them chase down whoever was doing the charges) and change your account over to a new number. I had someone run up unauthorized charges on my Discover card many years ago -- same process.

you see, this week has been like a long siece of phit. The days just simply signify that the long siece of phit is to be cut up to 7 equal pieces and be delved into some more.

I thought about talking to the dean of the school. I don't know what it would accomplish though. Today my boss was just acting like everything was peachy keen. She is such an idiot sometimes. and a coward. She has done this once or twice before. She won't come to me and talk to me she just writes me a snotty note telling me what to do. I have been working there over a year and I do my job pretty damn well. A lot better than her.

Well I didn't get out of the car I could tell no one was there. But yea it was pretty crappy of him. Thank goodness it is the last trip so I don't have to deal with that crap anymore. I dropped out of his class before and am retaking it...I just want to get it over without incident. So I think filing a complaint would just cause me more stress. If you worked for a school, especially this school, you would understand that they never get anything done, they are completely disorganized and there is really no point.

Yea this was the first time though with the pizza thing. haha I was tempted to do something with his test but I don't want to risk my job.

I am not certain I am leaving in January...my mom makes me feel guilty and wants me to stay here with her. I really really don't want to though. I want to get out of her asap. My bro is leaving in January, she wants him to go asap before he changes his mind (for a while he didn't want to go to Cali). So anyway, I guess I will just wait and see. When the time comes when he goes then I will decide. Or maybe at the end of this semester (December) I will say "sorry mom, gotta go." It's not like she'll never see me again. It would only be a few months.
    Ok I am done
