"Significant" would probably be when you change ranks, like 50, 200, 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, and 4000.

If they allowed it at every 100, chosenfool could post a "yippee!" thread every day!

But how about an official word here, GAM? A lot of people seem to be concerned about this. If I were any more suspicious, I'd say we just traded post count threads for "Question about post count" threads.

i don't understand what the whole thing about post-count is.

it isn't like its really a big accomplishment.

& i wish that post count wouldn't be shown, only rank or avatar. that way there is less empasis on racking up the count & more empasis on contributing quality posts.
