I got an TWA ticket from LA to NY for August... for $200 on priceline.

So maybe you can ask for one for about $180 (see if they will take it).

Flying into Ontario is cheaper from the East Coast, and its what- 30 minutes outside LA?

i went from Ontario CA airport to DC in december, round trip for $150 on US Air....

This was 2 days before the millenium, too.

Priceline is the way to go. You usually get $40 off extra just for signing up for a CC.

Thanks guys. I used Priceline and got a roundtrip ticket from JFK to LAX for $160 and I signed up for the Discover Platinum Card (I think the signup was supposed to take $60 off my ticket price).

Ugly, were you a little apprehensive when entering your Credit Card *before* finding a flight you would accept? I heard that is what you have to do @ Priceline.com. I am looking for a flight to Pittsburgh On June 30 till July 4 and wanted to spend under 200$. Any clue where to look, and is Priceline worth it? What airline did you get to fly out to LAX, a charter or large commercial airline? Thanks for your help buddy

This is the first time I have used Priceline and it is definitely worth it. My friend's uncle is a travel agent and he gave me a quote of $375...much higher than what I got through Priceline. I am flying Delta from JFK. Good luck, man.

I think I might give Priceline.com a try Ugly. I never did it before, I heard that you basically start at a real low price and slowly increase it throughout the day until you either get to your max limit or your price is accepted? I have heard lots of good about it, just hope it's safe with them getting your CC# before you even start ya know? I hope I can find a flight out of Newark to Pitt under 200$...we'll see Thanks for the tip.
