alright, so im running an ibm aptiva 500mhz k6-2 maxed at 256mb ram, 13gig hd, cd/cdrw. im running win2k and ived added a philips 5.1 card and network card. however, my computers starting to lag a bit, which coincides w/heavier photoshop and dreamweaver use. i never had any problems w/win2k, but lately its been giving me more and more errors. im on a limited budget, but think a motherboard/cpu upgrade would probably help. i was thinking athlon or xp when the price drops, but p4 wouldnt be out of the question. i was also wondering about a winxp corp upgrade. im relatively new to the hardware aspect of computers, so dont exactly know what all id need to do to upgrade the board. any suggestions on how to resolve my problems would help greatly. thanks.
