    My rules:
    1) Forget "flavored" coffees.
    2) Get freshly roasted quality beans.
    3) Grind them just before brewing, using 1 tablespoon beans per coffee-maker "cup" designation.
    4) Enjoy. I add half&half (but no sugar)

My favorite is my personal blend of half Tanzanian and half Java beans. MMMmmmm.

Before I got addicted to better stuff, I used to get 8 O'clock coffee. It really is pretty good.

Someone's got expensive taste here. Haahaa. That's the priciest drink in starbucks and it isn't even all that good.

Caramel Macciatto at Starbucks is my fave. Used to be a big Vanilla Mocha fan though.

My supplier threw in a free pound of Kona when he shipped me a recent order. It was good, but I think my regular beans are better. What gives Kona it's appeal is primarily its limited supply and the fact that it is the only US domestically grown coffee (with the possible exception of the Kentucky Coffee that welfareloser is so fond of )

I brought back half a pound of that back, it was OK, not THAT special. The coffee itself doesn't make as much as a difference to me as much as the creamer does. hazelnut [homer]drool[/homer]

I like Luzianne's coffee. It has chicory in it. I am hardly a coffee purist though. I just want an excuse to drink milk and sugar. I only use enough coffee to make the milk warm.

    OOOOHHHHHHH coffee yummmmmmm.

    I'm addicted to this stuff...
back in my early years of coffee drinking(late jr high), I'd be satisfied with Tasters choice (now .... , though it's a LOT better than other instant junks as i found out later in life). Then my parents started buying Dunkin Donuts coffee beans like crazy. actually pretty good stuff....I think they're still using dunkin donuts coffee....

Then I got to college, and being a poor college student, I ended up buying the cheapest instant coffee - Maxwell house instant.
    that was the nastiest stuffs.....

along the way, I've done the starbucks thing - just plain old coffee made stronger, no respect. I've done the local coffee shops...eh, never really impressed with any of them....

I'm using 8 o'clock coffee now, because my church had a bake sale/fundraiser thing, and they bought like a 5 lb bag of 8oclock coffee. Well, it never got finished, so I bought the leftover beans..
still prolly have like 3 lb's left....
At work (where I drink most of my coffee), they use maxwell house...eh can't complain....not good, but not as nasty as their freeze dried junx

and my coffee, I drink black....

If you're thinkin about losin weight and you're a coffee drinker, try not using sugar...My sis is a public health person researcher person, and there she's told me about a study about people losing significant amounts of weight by not putting sugar in their coffee.... (not why I stopped putting sugar in coffee, although i do need to lose weight).

Heh heh. I was once at a place where a Peet's affecianato (sp?) and I were both brewing our coffee. Another friend (coffee lover) had a cup of mine first. He then filled his mug with the Peets brew and uttered one word: "BITTER!" I have had Peets, and I agree with his assessment.
