Anyone else use morpheus??

damn good replacement fer napster. i used it fer about 2 months or so already. weird thing is i dont find myself dlin music much. mostly movies and games. if you dont use it then you should consider it. btw kazaa and morpheus are the same.

Kazaa and Morpheus use the same search engine model and interface. However, it is my understanding that Kazaa has spyware, while Morpheus does not.

Anyway, Morpheus is great. Lots of stuff to be found on there. It is the best Napster replacement I've found yet, and I've tried most of them - Aimster, Gnutella, WinMX, Kazaa, Bearshare. Morpheus is definitely the way to go. The only thing about it that bugs me is that it is a memory hog in the worst way. It saps my system resources wicked. So I just connect, download what I'm after, and close up shop.

Anyway, if you're still looking for a Napster replacement, Morpheus is definitely the way to go.

hehe i leave the thing on fer days. come back and all my files are done. i gotz dsl so it takes a few hours.

Yeah, if I don't have anything else going, its fine. But usualy I'm doing my downloading while surfing/posting online or doing other things with my computer, so I can't afford to have Morpheus eating all my system resources. Sometimes I'll cue up a bunch of downloads and leave it going all night.

The other thing I've found is Hotline. You have to know what server you want to hook up to, but if you can find one that has the stuff you are looking for, it is great. I've found a ton of great stuff there. You just have to be willing to search a while for it.

I just started using Morpheus because I thought it has Spyware. I finally decided to get it and scan with Ad-Aware after install. Then, I did find out that it was only Kazaa that had it and not both.
