Computers4sure has a refurbished 17" monitor for $169.99. There is a $40.00 rebate from IBM. Add the $20.00 rebate from Computers4sure. If you go to Brandsforless first, you can apply for the $30.00 rebate and the free shipping rebate. WOW. That's only $79.99 for a 17" monitor!!

Is it the IBM P70? b/c if it is, don't get it. I bought one earlier this year, and its a piece of crap. First of all, it comes in a urine yellow color, and the display is not as good. It looks good on paper, but i dont think its worth it. I got mine for 100 back then. On top of all that, it broke and would not display anything outside of windows(like in msdos, the startup screens, etc..) Its a good price for a 17, but what you get may not be worth it

i just checked out the link and its not the p70, its the g70. I believe the g70 is a lower end model than the p70 and seems to be more expensive. if you want a cheap 17" monitor, check out egghead.com, especially the aucitons. i found a NEC 17" monitor for like 100, and is .25 dot pitch. hope this helps

I'd just like to reiterate what kil45 said...AVOID THAT MONITOR LIKE THE PLAGUE! (unless it's free of course, heh heh)I got the IBM Power Display 17 (which is the same as the p70 if I'm not mistaken), and it stunk. Refurbished indeed! That thing was manufactured in '94! (or 95 or 96, it's been a few months since I sent it back). Don't buy crap, bar none. I worked at a computer shop. Trust me. You end up paying more in the end (in time, money, but probably both). The only crap I have is what I get for free (and like APEX said, you can't argue with free!)
