Question Reinstall of 2nd Hard Drive

I had to reinstall my OS on my Gateway piece of crap, and now I want to reinstall my 2nd hard drive (my own upgrade), but the computer is not detecting the new hardware - and it's only data, so I should be able to just plug n' play? yes?

    HELP!!!

    Thanks!!

    Check:

    Everything's connected correctly
Jumper setting on drive and anything else on the chain is correct
    Drive appears in the BIOS
Shall we buy a new guitar?
Shall we drive a more powerful car?

The first two are correct, but it does not show up in the BIOS.

try switching the slave and the master....and see if it detect it...

Or try plugging one in and see if it detects it...

In your BIOS, find the hard drive settings and set that drive for auto-detect. That should fix it.
