    Question Re-assigning IRQs

I bought a new video card not long ago and have not had much success installing it. I read in the manual that it cannot share an IRQ with anything else, but I don't know how to re-assign IRQs to free up a space for the new card. Anyone know how?

I don't think moving other cards around is going to work, and I checked my BIOS, but that doesn't have the right options either. I think I have to do it manually. Are there any hints as to how I could re-arrange them? I really don't want to screw things up in my computer.

well, the placement of the cards actually does sometimes have a bearing on which irq's gets used..
leave the pci slot right next to the agp slot empty..that'll usually do it

    general rule i found...
    agp&1st pci
    the next 2 pcis
then the last 2 pci's or the pci & isa (for u older computer users)
