    Memory Skyrocketing!!!

I remember last month i was planning on buying some more memory for my computer. It was priced around $35 for 256MB DDR PC2100. I didn't buy them because i wanted to wait till Crucial comes out with 512MB DDR sticks. I just went over to Crucial's website and they cost $53 for 256 DDR PC2100!!! They still haven't gotten any 512MB DDR sticks!!! Should have just gotten the 256MB when i had the chance.

then wait till after the holidays...though 15 bucks is hardly a skyrocket, at least not compared to what happened after all those earthquakes...now THAT was a skyrocket.

Everything I've read suggests that memory is going up just because of xmas, and will go back down, as supply is still very high.

When I heard rumors of prices going up a month ago, I bought my 2 sticks of 256mb DDR pc2100 registered w/ECC for ~$37 each at crucial. Supposedly Micron is pulling off a lawsuit against all the other RAM manufacturers, thus the price hike. Not sure though but I got in on time.

Yeah that's what i have been reading across some messageboards. Prices should go down right after the holidays. Guess i might as well wait for that new ABIT KR7A board. Should be out by then don't you think?? If they don't delay it again.
