Recently, I purchased a coat from a mom-and-pop online operation that primarly sells its inventory on eBay. However, I did not purchase the coat on eBay. It was purchased outside eBay, and I paid via PayPal. Unfortunately, the coat was a bit too small for me, and the seller will only allow me to exchange the item for one of equal price.

As I paid for the item with my Blue card -- albeit through PayPal -- would the Return Protection Guarantee apply in this case?
