Macy's update: Lot's of stuff BACKORDERED

I think we are all going to start being unpleasantly surprised
as we begin getting our
"This item is BACKORDERED" emails.

And from what my wife has learned from customer
service, much of the stuff was discontinued and we will
probably never see it.

We've had about 1/4 of our stuff backordered by now.
Several shirts and a couple of jackets, a skirt, etc.

Hmm, just checked my order. 3/5 items shipped, 2 items say
At this time we are unable to retrieve information about this product. Please call Customer Service.

This stinks because those are the two items I really wanted, and I just ordered the other stuff to justify the excessive S&H. I guess I'll call. If they can't ship the other two items I'll complain 'till they credit me back the S&H, or dispute the CC charge.

i had an interesting conversation with my roommate today about this. he says that with these crazy sales, it's worth it to pay the extra few bucks for 2 day shipping. he already got all his stuff from Macy's this time around. he says that when you get 2 day shipping, it bumps your order up to the "front of the line" b/c they gotta get it out quicker. when you're "at the front" you're more likely to get your stuff. at least you'll know for next time....

I ordered monday, was shipped yesterday, and received it Friday. I used regular shipping too. For 2 of my things I got that call customer service message, so i called them and they said that my things were already shipped so, no problem for me
