My wonderful new region-free DVD Player

    Hey people,
I just got a new DVD Player. It's the Pioneer DV-440. This little player (2inches thick) is getting rave reviews in terms of video/audio quality. And I managed to find a couple places that sold the Multi-Region version of it. It was $299. My DVD collection is mostly Region 1, but I'm also buying lots of Japanese Region 2 movies and Korean Region 3 movies too these days so this gadget is a great thing for me. It also plays VCDs, CD-R, CD-RW, and MP3s. And it supposedly has one of the best MP3 navigation systems. I haven't tried it out too much yet. I'll let you know how it is. Here is a link.

For those of you looking for a good region free player this looks like a great choice, because unlike many of the region free players out there with shady brands, this one is based on a solid product to begin with.

They have a multi-region version of the Pioneer DV-444. They say it's progressive, but I've heard it's not "true" progressive. It just emulates it or something. I'm not sure what that means, but I'm sure it's a little better than non-progressive....

Thta's the cheapest place I found it for. Most places were at least $40-50 more expensive. Check it out. But FYI!! read this thread first if you decide to order. It somewhat summarizes my ordering experience with them.
