    VGA monitor for playing PS2?

Hi. I wonder if you guys have any experience with VGA box that directly connect a device to the monitor without going through the computer (TV tuner). I am going to use it for my PS2 (or maybe DC if I ever play it again) to my monitor.

This is the one that looks pretty good to me, but i am not sure if the AV cable output will decrease the quality. But then up to 4 extra devices is just awesome.

This one is just for PS2 (PS1), and it directly connect to the box without splitting the signal.

Are there real difference between the quality output from these 2 VGA box? I even see there is a VGA box that will take S-video but then it is just not worth it for the price. Thanks in advance.

I don't know much about these 2 products. I have heard that money of them do a crappy crappy job. The only product that I have heard that works well for this type of thing is the Viewsonic VB50HRTV. It hooks up to your monitor and turns it into a TV. However, it is also about $100, more expensive than the products you showed. You can check it out here:

Ouch... $130... Damn that's out of my budget. But that Viewsonic sure looks promising. Em...
I have heard some good thing about the Redant VGA box (the 2nd one), but I can't find any review on the first one. maybe as you say those kind of VGA box do a very crappy job. Hm...
    Confused...
