yum, who wants to buy this fer me for my b-day???![]()
i still don't understand why someone would use a usb/external soundcard.
yeah, and it looks cool. I'd still prefer something like the hercules game theater xp, with an internal card and a breakout box but this would be good for a laptop or somethin i think.

and I am thinking about it for my DJ PC, I would be able to turn a 4U rack PC to a 1U ( the fact that I need a 3D card and top of the line sound card ) going USB will give it an advantage....
I would just have to mount this somewhere in my rack....
yeah, i'm sure it DOES reduce the noise... but practically speaking its BS just to increase creatives $$$
well I did a search and found the card for $129!!!
so that is not to bad when placed next to PCI cards.....
but for doing high end recording from home this would be a +
I don't really see the purpose. Personally, I'd rather just have everything built in...
It is not enough to merely touch the face of god; you also must open your eyes so that you may see your palm.
well on a 1U rack you can only have one PCI card....Originally posted by Ladogaboy

Ahhh, well, for me, that isn't an issue. There is a tool for every job as they say.Originally posted by DoPeY5007

Not in some ways, 'cause theres a lot of computer music artists and djs out there and having an external modem from a larger company like creative is quite an attractive thing actually.Originally posted by hapoo

I think you ment sound card![]()
usb has limited bandwidth. I wonder if this would create a problem if you have a webcam. I wouldn't go external, but it sure looks cool. I guess it's the only option if you have a laptop.

well I have a Belkin QuadraBus ( 4 ports with their own bandwidth ) so *if* I was to get this I would use that
hehe, soon we'll have external hard drives, external floppies, cd rom, USB to ethernet LAN adapters... oh wait, we do have em.Originally posted by Ladogaboy
