S: Free DVD or book with purchase of these DVD titles, receipt required!

I don't know how many times this has happened, I buy a DVD, and wow, look! theres special offers! I look through them and it says, purchase the following DVD's, and pick out one for free! So I run down the list, realize I have several of those DVD's required. Then I look to see what I gotta send. The usual UPC symbol, and then receipts for all the DVD's that will be sent! I have over 100 DVD's, who da heck would save all those receipts?! So I'm S-O-L.

So far, because of this, I've missed out on about 10 free DVD's, and about $30-50 in rebates (for buying so many # of titles from same film studio).

It wouldn't be so bad if they just didn't include those things in the packaging.. But they put it in there, and get me all excited! THOSE BASTARDS!

WEll there are several methods around this.

First, you can "purchase" the dvd again and then return it, make a copy of the receipt before you bring it back, suddenly you have another receipt.

Second, if you buy any dvd's online then you are used to what I call, the "giant" receipts. You know what i am talking about, the ones that you print up yourself. So, what you do is just save it as a word file and change the title. you can usually find the sku on the other dvd and see where they are grabbing it from. Truthfully they never do check it. The UPC symbol is the real proof they are looking for.

Third, you should keep all your receipts for tax purposes. You should keep all receipts for 7 years minimum.

I hope the first two help (the third one obviously isnt going to do any good with this problem)

Personally I have gotten probably 15 dvds or so for free as a result of these buy one get one free. Mostly from artisan, disney, and WB..
Welcome my son, welcome to the machine...Where have you been? It's alright we know where you've been....
