Does Win2K and XP dual boot OK?
-
FYI only, you can install IE6 with any other OS too through MSs updater. NAV 2002 runs fine in XP too.
I have both OSs running on different PCs with XP Pro on an older one but I'm still am not overjoyed with it. That PC seems generally slower than Win2K Pro was on it before (C366@550mhz, 256mb ram). That PC has 2 HDDs, one with multiple partitions (too many actually) and I'm debating if I should reformat the 2nd HDD, install Win2K Pro on it so that I can use either OS.
This PC dual boots Win98SE and Win2k Pro and it's going to stay that way. I like Win2K alot better than XP so far, alot less BS and equally functional IMO.

I'm using IE6 on 4 PCs here (2 with Win2K) and one runs Win98SE (older PC) and havent had any probs with it compared to older versions of IE5. Can't honestly notice any speed change but I use cable so maybe that's why?
I didn't have NAV at all until '02 so that's my only experience with it. Definately a great program.
I'm running XP Pro as it came out of the box, untweaked, default settings so maybe I just need to tweak it. I don't like it as-is.
I've read about doing that elsewhere but might you know where I can read about better XP settings?
