    Arrow virtual tour of wtc

i go here sometimes to see wtc as it was before the tragedy. although i don't want to remember the 11th of every month this way, i figure it's as good a day as any to share this with everybody.

When I was about 8 years old in 1973 my aunts took me to the Trade Center (and Statue of Liberty). We lived in the Bronx and a Subway trip to lower=Manhattan was a big trip for an 8 year old. With an old Kodak Instamatic 126-format, I laid in Austin Tobin Plaza and took a picture of the two Towers from my back. This site gave me a feeling that closest resembles that memory. As an adult who's worked in lower-Manhattan since college breaks, I went into, through or around those Towers for virtually every working day. If I live to be a thousand, I'll never forget the Towers, that day (it was the bluest sky you could ever imagine) and the song that played on my Walkman as I walked up Liberty Street that day (Let My Love Open the Door). I still work down there but have been unable to bring myself to go by the site since immediately after the attack. Good night.

You know I lived in NYC for 3 years and never saw the WTC or Statue of liberty. The day I was going to the WTC for a field trip was the day it got bombed the first time.
